You may have left it a little late to make a gift purchase before the 25th, however this website is awesome for the perfect present. Notonthehighstreet.com is a UK based site that specialises in unique gifts that you won’t necessarily find at any of your local favourite stores.
Founded by entrepreneurs Sophie Cornish and Holly Tucker. Since 2006, these two women have hunted down the most original items from the best creative small businesses, brought them together in one place and made it super easy to buy them.
They started with around 100 small business, many of whom were also just starting out and creating products from their kitchen tables at night, now the duo offer thousands of options and keep adding more every week, making them one of the UK’s fastest-growing e-commerce businesses. If you’re looking for ingenious, fanciful or quirky gifts for that person that has everything then this site is your go-to-place.

My favourite souvenir that I’ve bought so far was a personalised story book for a friend’s newborn baby – it’s the story of a little boy/girl who goes in search for his/her name and is beautifully illustrated and written. “The little boy/girl who lost his/her name” by lost my.name.

This site does come with a warning though… you will start to spend a ridiculous amount of time thinking of who else you can buy gifts for, from Grandma who loves gardening to your fashionista friend! Happy buying.
